The 7000 Series W5 hose clamps are manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel — band, screw and housing — for the highest corrosion resistance available in a worm-drive clamp. Specified where W4 304 grade will not last: tropical marine, swimming pool plant, chemical dosing, food processing and coastal industrial environments.

316 grade contains molybdenum, which gives it resistance to chloride pitting that 304 stainless does not have. On boats with through-hull fittings, around chlorinated pool plumbing, in fertiliser and chemical lines, and on jetties and offshore structures, 316 is the only clamp that will not pit and fail prematurely. Slotted band format provides the high torque capability needed for reinforced hose.
