SMART BAND is a cut-to-length nylon banding system for securing pipes, cables, hoses and structural elements in environments where metal banding corrodes or where non-conductive, non-magnetic fastening is required. Applications include downhole mining, bridge and wharf pile protection, subsea installations, sign fixing and above or below water-level cable attachment.

The 7mm and 10mm band and buckles are made from PA66 (Nylon 66). The 19mm band is POM (Acetal) with 25% glass fibre, giving high wear resistance and minimal thermal expansion. The 32mm band and buckles are PA12 (Nylon 12) with 20% glass fibre fill. Strength up to 440 kgf depending on size selected. Band is cut to required length from the roll, minimising waste.

The Smart Band Compact Banding system is a step forward in the evolution of the Smart Band range.These bands combine the best features of both the Smart Tie  and the Smart Band Hybrid system to create a superior product.The Smart Band Compact reduces the size of the Hybrid Buckle by over 60% allowing it to be installed on applications as low as 100mm in diameter.Yet unlike the Smart Tie it contains glass fibre reinforced yarn allowing it to maintain the superior strength retention and relaxation features of the Hybrid system.The innovative technology of over moulding the buckle directly onto the the band has actually produced an increase in the strength and retention of the compact system.The compact system is now perfectly placed to provide a high strength high retention and long life and a quick to fit strapping method for all major subsea applications including VIV Stake attachment on risers down to 100mm.Two lengths to choose from in 19mm and 32mm band widths see variants listed above.
