The Q6 (part number B4666) is a 50HP post hole digger gearbox, purpose-built for tractor-mounted post hole digging applications. Unlike slasher gearboxes that increase output speed, the Q6 uses a speed reduction ratio to convert PTO rotation into the low-speed, high-torque output that a post hole digger auger requires. Why a Dedicated Post Hole Digger Gearbox

A post hole digger gearbox reduces PTO speed and multiplies torque at the auger. The 3.18:1 reduction on the Q6 converts 540 RPM PTO input to a slower, more powerful output suited to driving augers through heavy clay, rocky soils, and compacted ground. The 2" round cross-drilled output shaft accepts standard post hole digger auger connections.

Bareco post hole digger augers are available in diameters from 100mm to 610mm in the 9980 Series, all designed to suit the Q6 gearbox drive tube. Spare parts including bearings, seals, and gears are available on request. Add EP140 gear oil before first use.
