The 9960 Series 7578 is a single filter head — the upper section of our 7290 / 7298 single filter housings. Supplied as a service part for customers replacing a damaged or worn head while retaining the existing bowl, mounting bracket and filter element.

Manufactured to specifications, the 7578 is a direct replacement on any single filter housing without modification. Incorporates 1/2" UNF inlet and outlet ports, bleed screw and the bowl-to-head seal land. The bare head version (no primer pump) keeps cost down for installations where priming is not required.

When to replace the head only

• Cracked head casting from impact or over-tightening
• Stripped port threads
• Persistent fuel weep that new seals can't resolve
• Building a custom assembly using existing bowls and brackets
