W5 grade hose clamps are solid-band 316 stainless steel - the specification for salt-water marine use, underground installations and applications where chloride corrosion, acids or aggressive chemicals are present. The solid band design (no perforations) protects soft hose material from cutting under clamping load, which makes W5 the right choice for rubber and silicone hoses under high or sustained clamping pressure.

316 stainless provides measurably superior corrosion resistance to 304 (W4) grade in chloride environments, including marine bilge, swimming pool plumbing, saltwater cooling systems and coastal agricultural installations.
