The 8100 Series constant tension hose clamps combine a standard worm-drive band with an integrated spring insert. The spring compresses and releases as the hose expands and contracts through the heat cycle, keeping clamping load constant and preventing the slow leak path that develops on rigid clamps after repeated heat cycling.

Used as OEM on cooling system hoses, heater connections, breather lines and any joint that runs through significant temperature swings. Particularly useful on silicone hose, which softens at operating temperature — a rigid clamp loses tension as the hose creeps, while a constant tension clamp follows the movement and stays sealed. The size range from 16-27mm to 65-85mm covers most automotive cooling applications.
