Load binders are used to tension chain lashings when securing heavy loads on trailers, flat-beds and farm transport. This range is drop-forged to the Australian Standard. Three options cover 6mm through 10mm chain with load capacities from 1700kg to 4500kg. Not rated for lifting - for chain lashing in load restraint applications only.

• 7601: Lever binder, suits 6mm chain - 1700kg loading capacity
• 3601: Lever binder, suits 8-10mm chain - 4500kg loading capacity
• 4601: Ratchet type, suits 8-10mm chain - 4500kg loading capacity

The 4601 ratchet-type binder allows finer tension control than a snap-lever binder and is easier to release under residual load - a practical advantage when the chain is under tension after transport and a lever binder handle is difficult to break over. Select the binder to match both the chain diameter and the rated lashing capacity of the chain in use. Mixing a binder with a lower-rated chain or vice versa reduces the effective safe working capacity of the lashing system.
