The 9820 Series UNEX hose clip uses a patented double-loop mechanism that applies closing force evenly around the entire hose circumference. Unlike a conventional worm drive that tightens from a single housing point, UNEX distributes pressure uniformly in all directions. This makes it the right choice where standard clamps fail: corrugated, ribbed and oval hose profiles, laboratory glassware and tubing, high-pressure connections, and confined-space installations.

How it works

Turning the adjustment screw opens the outer loop while simultaneously closing the inner loop, applying pressure through a geared mechanism UNEX calls Uniform Periphery Contraction. The smooth inner band contacts the hose without cutting or abrading the surface. On corrugated and ribbed profiles, where a standard clamp bridges the ridges and seals only at the peaks, UNEX distributes contact across the full profile including between corrugations.

Applications

Laboratory and scientific: The H Type variant tightens by hand without tools, allowing gloved operation for sealing silicone tubing, glassware connections, and PTFE fittings without risk of over-torquing or surface damage.

Corrugated, ribbed and oval hoses: UNEX conforms to non-circular and irregular profiles where a conventional worm drive bridges the ridges and leaves leak paths. Suited to flexible HVAC ducting, ribbed automotive and agricultural hoses, and oval-section profiles.

High-pressure tubing: Rated to 2,000 psi, suited to hydraulic lines, pneumatic tubing, and pressure testing connections on small-diameter tubing where band clamps are impractical.

Variants

• H Type - Stainless 304 hexagonal cap. Hand-tightened without tools. For laboratory, clean-room, and quick-access applications.
• D Type - Standard screwdriver slot. General purpose.
