9985 Series P.T.O Shaft Safety Guards suit all common drive shafts.
PTO shaft safety guards are a legal and safety requirement wherever a drive shaft is operating. An unguarded or partially guarded rotating PTO shaft is a serious entanglement hazard. These Bareco 9985 Series safety guards use a patented lever-release design for fast replacement without tools, allowing access to grease points without removing the guard.
Guards are available in two outer diameter series: AS200 suits shafts up to Series 4 (40HP); AS300 suits Series 5 through to Series 10 (50HP to 200HP). Three length options in each series cover the operating range of most common drive shafts in the field.
AS200 Series (up to 40HP)
- AS20090 — suits 1m closed to 1.5m open
- AS20130 — suits 1.5m closed to 2.5m open
- AS20180 — suits 2m closed to 3.4m open
AS300 Series (50HP to 200HP)
- AS30090 — suits 1m closed to 1.6m open
- AS30130 — suits 1.5m closed to 2.5m open
- AS30180 — suits 2m closed to 3.4m open
All guards are supplied with bearings. Compatible with Bareco, Bypy, Walterscheid, Hardy Spicer, and most common brands. The AS20130 and AS30130 cover 90% of drive shafts in common use. Refer to the instruction sheet (attached) for the replacement procedure.
Need to replace the full shaft rather than just the guard? See the PTO shaft selection guide for the complete Bareco drive shaft range.
