The 9960 Series 1267 is a replacement metal bowl assembly suiting all filter housings supplied through this site. Used in service applications where the existing glass bowl has cracked, or where operators are converting from glass to metal for harsh-service environments where impact damage to glass is a recurring problem.
Metal bowls offer significant advantages over glass in agricultural and earthmoving applications — they don't shatter under impact, they're more tolerant of vibration, and they handle thermal cycling without stress fractures. The trade-off is loss of visual water inspection, so operators need to drain the water trap on a routine schedule rather than waiting for a visible water line.
