The 9272 Series universal rubber bonnet catch is a tension-style latch used to secure tractor bonnets, machinery covers, equipment hatches and tool boxes. The flexible rubber construction allows the catch to stretch over the latch hook and return to its retaining position automatically — no separate locking mechanism required.
Rubber bonnet catches are the standard fitment on agricultural tractors and earthmoving machinery for two reasons: they don't seize up after years of outdoor exposure (unlike spring-loaded latches), and they tolerate the panel flex and vibration typical of working machinery without rattling loose.
