The 9960 Series 8298 is a complete single filter assembly with metal bowl and 1/2" UNF ports. This is the metal bowl version of the standard 7298 glass bowl assembly - specified for applications where vibration, impact from debris or harsh operating conditions make a glass bowl unsuitable or a liability.
Bareco - established in Australia since 1944 - supplies Delphi-compatible fuel filter assemblies for Australian tractors and agricultural diesel engines. The single-bowl configuration is the standard fitment for smaller engines and installations where space or plumbing layout does not suit a twin-bowl setup. The 1/2" UNF ports match the majority of tractor fuel system connections used in the Australian market.
Metal bowl construction is the preferred choice in agricultural field service, remote operations and any environment where a cracked or broken glass bowl would leave equipment inoperable far from a spare parts source. The metal bowl is also better suited to applications with severe vibration, such as tractors operating on rough terrain.
